Visiting/Parking

Old Market is part of Bristol city centre (East end) a few steps away from Temple Meads, Castle Park and Cabot Circus. The boundaries of the Conservation Area are visible in the following image.

You can also discover our area in  Google Maps, where we have overlayed the extent of the Conservation Area.

In Old Market there is free parking for one hour in most streets. If you wish to stay longer there are two very convenient car parks. The closest is at Gardiner Haskins but we are a very short walk from the Cabot Circus car park.

I will be moving to Old market into Barstaple house very soon, is there anywhere to park over night?

    • In addition to the car parks listed there is another private car park in Gloucester Lane/ Braggs Lane. During the night parking is free and unrestricted in most of Old Market. Controls are quite efficient during the day so it is better to comply to parking restrictions in order to avoid tickets.

I live in Barstaple House also. Which flat are you in? You can park on Midland Road overnight for free as the 1-hour allowance is only until 6pm if not mistaken. Hope this helps!
